Over the last 10 years, we have been studying the correlation between tenure with the ProcessMAP Enterprise EHS Platforms and its impact on various Safety Indicators across all our customers.
The Safety indicators include Leading Indicators, Lagging Indicators, Process Metrics, # of Worker Compensation Claims and Worker Compensation Claim Costs. We’re really pleased to see multifold improvements across these indicators year after year and this is a super encouraging statistic for us here at ProcessMAP.
To showcase our findings, we have put together a Heatmap to represent the correlation between the tenure with the ProcessMAP platform and its impact on various Safety Indicators.
Each of the Heatmap’s represents the progression of various indicators for the customers after the completion of every year starting from Year 1 to Year 10 of using the ProcessMAP platform.
1. On Time Incident Action Items Closure Rate within ProcessMAP Customers
On Time Incident Action Item Closure Rate is a key process metric, as it provides a snapshot of the overall process culture within the customers. We have seen a slow and steady improvement in the On Time Incident Action Item Closure Rates among ProcessMAP customers.
On Time Incident Action Items Closure Rate improved by 20% over the progression from Year 1 to Year 10 of using the ProcessMAP platform.
From our findings, we have learnt that the average On Time Incident Action Items Closure Rate across ProcessMAP Customers in the Year 1 of adopting the ProcessMAP platform is 50%, which rises to 61% in Year 5 and rises again to 70% in Year 10.
2. Near Miss per Recordable Incidents within ProcessMAP Customers
Increased Near-Miss Reporting, driven by the adoption of mobile solutions, has played a major role in fostering a culture of safety. We see sustained improvements in Near Miss Reporting over many years resulting in a rise in Near Miss per Recordable ratio.
Near miss per recordable incident ratio has improved by 664% over the progression from Year 1 to Year 10 of using the ProcessMAP platform.
It is clear to see that the average Near Miss per Recordable incident ratio across ProcessMAP Customers in Year 1 of adopting the ProcessMAP platform is 4.7. In Year 5 this rises to 9.6 and rises again to 35.9 in Year 10.
3. Recordable Incident Rate YoY within ProcessMAP Customers
We see continued usage of the ProcessMAP Enterprise platforms has considerably brought down the Recordable Incident Rate over the years.
Recordable Incident Rate YoY has decreased by 50% over the progression from Year 1 to Year 10 using the ProcessMAP platform
Our findings clearly show that the average Recordable Incident Rate YoY across ProcessMAP Customers in Year 1 of adopting the ProcessMAP platform is 2.32. This again, rises to 2.00 in Year 5 and has decreased to 1.17 in Year 10.
4. Lag Time Reporting within ProcessMAP Customers
We have also observed that the Lag time between Incident Occurrence and Incident reporting in the platform continues to decrease as the employees get engaged by using the platform for multiple years.
Lag Time Reporting has decreased by 80% over the progression from Year 1 to Year 10 of using the ProcessMAP platform.
We have observed that the average Lag Time Reporting across ProcessMAP customers in Year 1 of adopting the ProcessMAP platform is 123.8hrs. In Year 5 this decreases to 65.8hrs and once again, decreases to 25.0hrs in Year 10.
5. Workers Compensation Claims within ProcessMAP Customers
Sustained usage of the ProcessMAP platforms has been a strong influencer in making safer workplaces, resulting in fewer Worker Compensation Claims.
Workers Comp Claims decreased by 4.8% over the progression from Year 1 to Year 10 of using the ProcessMAP platform.
We have observed that the average Workers Comp Claims across ProcessMAP Customers in the Year 1 of adopting the ProcessMAP platform is 6.2%, 3.7% in Year 5 and 1.4% in Year 10, conveying a steady decrease in claims.
6. Workers Compensation Claim Costs within ProcessMAP Customers
From our findings it is clear to see that Enterprise EHS platforms like ProcessMAP over many years have improved Employee Safety resulting in the reduction of Serious injuries and bringing down the cost of Worker Compensation Claims for the customers.
Workers Compensation Claim Costs decreased by 91% over the progression from Year 1 to Year 10 using the ProcessMAP platform.
We have observed that the average Workers Compensation Claim Costs across ProcessMAP Customers in Year 1 of adopting the ProcessMAP platform is $1,127. In Year 5 we see this figure decrease to $522 and even further to $96 in Year 10.
